The Last Few Days of 2008!

Its unbelievable but the end of the
year is creeping up on all of us.

It seems like every year gets shorter
and races by a little more quicker than
the last year.

I usually spend some time at the end of
the year reflecting on the past year. Did
I reach my goals that I set out to reach
in 2008? What will I do going forward in
2009 to build upon 2008?

I am going to be giving you some tools
that you can use in getting revved up for
the new year. There are certain things
that I do and tools that I have used and
continue to use that I would like to share
with you.

Tools that can help you with your planning
and building of a great life, which we all
aspire to do.

This week take some time and do some reflecting
on the past year and how you can make your
2009 a better year.

We Are Bouncing Up and Down!

Wow! Hasn't the stock market been on one big ride? I am amazed at what has been happening with the market in general. The other day it went up by 900+ points only to slide back down! Its truly a very volitile time especially if you are in the stock market.

I am presently not active in the stock market. I am doing some other business and real estate deals since I opened up my self directed IRA! I am glad I did open that account a few months back. I have my money invested mostly in real estate out of my IRA. I highly recommend you look into opening an account and the needed info to get you started.

I just got back from my Oklahoma trip last week and it was a productive one. However, you always have more to do. Since I have been back the last couple of days I have more requests for properties from some big pocketed investors.

Right now, I am on the look out for some commercial properties. They can be apartment buildings, shopping centers, anything that is commercial and also cash flowing. It doesn'tmatter where it is and the price has no cap. If you have something that matches up with these parameters, drop me an email and please let me know what you got so we can determineif we can go to the next level.

As I close this entry in my blog, I saw another good quote today from Dale Carnigie, famous author.

"Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy."

Are You Taking Any Risks in Life?

This week is flying by so fast for me. I have
had a very interesting & mind expanding week. I
have been taking more risks than ever lately,
putting myself out there. That is a good thing
because I know in this process I will grow,
learn and most likely make some money.

In the last 2 days I saw a couple of things
I was reading that stood out to me and would
like to share them with you. It has to do
with risk and action.

First one was from an ezine I received from
Neale Donald Walsh. I took a few sentences from
his ezine....
...that life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

You won't find glory at the center of safety, but
at its edge.
You gotta take some risks. You have to not only
pick up the dice, but roll 'em.
So go ahead, take the gamble.

You have nothing to lose except the chance to win.
Life is not long enough to spend it on the sidelines.

The second one is a quote from Phil Jackson, the
Los Angeles Laker's coach

"Once you have done the mental work, there comes
a point where you have to throw yourself into
action and put your heart on the line!"

Go out there today and make it the best day for
yourself and keep moving forward.

What's At Stake For You?

All of us have dreams, hopes and goals that
we work on daily and we are continually
striving for.

Have you ever started out with your goals
and dreams in the forefront of your mind?
When you start nothing stops you, you are
excited and want to do everything you can.

Then somewhere along the way you lose your
way or your vision... or you fall off your
original plan. A year later you are wondering
what happened and why are you still stuck
in the same place as you were last year.

Well, when I was in Atlanta attending my
first mastermind a couple of weeks ago -
we discussed and went over some of our
challenges that we face. A couple of
challenges we came up with and you may
be familiar with them... is

Procrastination and Focus!

As we discussed these challenges, one thing
I realized is that we all have similar
challenges on our road to becoming successful!
We are definitely not alone in this area, and
Procrastination and Focus is a big challenge
for most of us! On our road to success, its
important to continually ask ourselves better
questions to help us with our day to day
challenges.

This was one of the things I did learn from all
this discussion over the the mastermind weekend -
A couple of the most important questions to ask
ourselves and this has made a huge impact in
my life already, is this....

What is at Stake if you don't do what you need
to do today? What is at Stake if you don't
implement what you need to do today?
What will the result be over a week, month or
even a year if you don't do what you need to do
today?

All of these are very important questions and
you need to ask yourself this every day and
especially when we meet up with the challenges
that get in our way. Which makes me think of
another challenge that may be blocking your
way to success - make sure you are not getting
in your own way as well! I also have been guilty
of this at times in my journey thru life.

Bottom line: when it comes to asking
yourself a good question, choose this question.
What is at STAKE if I don't do what I need to
do today? Think about that and write down
your thoughts!

Investing in Yourself!

I am a big believer in investing in yourself
and educating yourself. Over the last several
years, I have taken the time to read and study
materials on real estate, marketing, and self
development. So, I am an avid reader.
Reading helps you grow so you can move into
action!

I recently have read a good book that I want to
recommend to you. Its by Robert Shemin and this
book is called "How Come THAT Idiots Rich and I'm Not!"
I have to tell you that I really enjoyed this book quite a lot.
Robert Shemin has authored several books and
this is the 1st book I have read by him.

This book not only talks about Real Estate and
other assets but also probably one of the most
important subjects of all, your mindset and the
way you think. Sometimes your mindset or the
way you think(your mental attitude) holds you
back every day keeping you from taking action!
I should know, I have been there and done that!

The first 2 chapters alone are worth the price of
the book. You may even find yourself relating
to some of the scenario's that Robert brings up.
Possibly even laughing about it because you know
that you have done what he is writing about!

I encourage you to step up, invest/educate in
yourself and start to read daily. It will help
you start your day in a positive direction. I
personally like to read in the mornings before
I even start my work day. I find that this helps
me with my whole attitude in general!

One of the 1st books you can start with is Robert
Shemins book because it covers a lot of good things
including moving toward action packaged into one
great book. So, take action, get this good book
and keep moving forward!
